Italy celebrates 500 years since the death of RAFFAELLO!
2020 will be the year of Raffaello Sanzio in which 500 years will occur from the death of the great artist from Urbino, genius of the Italian Renaissance.
It is no coincidence that Urbino is the birthplace of the great artist to dedicate the first exhibition to him, a few months ahead of the Raphaelesque year in which – after Leonardo da Vinci – our country will celebrate another of his excellences, both artistic and not only. The exhibition “Raphael and the friends of Urbino”, from 3 October to 19 January 2020, represents only the beginning of a series of initiatives that will see the painter, architect and inspirer of centuries of art that will come after 2020 of him.
At the National Museum of the Marche inside the Ducal Palace of Urbino the collection of many of his works.
